Release Notes and Requirements:

Thanks for your interest in Bordeaux for Linux. Like with any 1.0 software it has bugs and we know about them. Our hope is that you as the initial users and early adoptes of our software will see past the current limitations to what we plan on offering in the future.

Before you can run Bordeaux for Linux be sure your computer meets the following requirements. You need to have an recent x86 or x86-64 system Linux distribution such as Fedora Core 8, OpenSuse 10.3 or Ubuntu 7.10.
The system must also have the following packages installed.

  • Wine (of course)
  • wget
  • pygtk
  • glade
  • cabextract
  • unzip

  • If your system meets these requirments and you are still having trouble with Bordeaux please file a support ticket detailing the problem you are having.

    Errata:

  • ProblemID 1.0-01:
    Office 2000 cannot be installed at the same time as Photoshop CS, Photoshop CS2 or Steam

    Resolution: none
    This is a known issue and we are working to resolve this problem at this time.

  • Problem 1.0-02:
    Not all of the Office 2000 menus showing up after install

    Resolution: work around
    This is a known Wine bug and we have a workaround. Please download the following script fix_office2000_menus.sh and run it from the user account that installed Office 2000.
