Bordeaux - Windows Application Support for Linux

Support Policy - Last updates June 16th 2008

Preface

Before reading we whole heartily invite you to visit our competitors CodeWeavers and Transgaming and review their support policies and make an informed decision on your purchase. Or even better, take a look at the Wine Application Database and see if you even need to pay for support for your application. You might be able to get the application to work yourself with little trouble.

Our goal is to help you find the right product that fits your needs, even if its not ours.

Policy

What applications are supported?
At this time for the first release we pledge to support the following applications: Photoshop CS, Photshop CS2, Office2000 (word, excel, access, powerpoint) Internet Exploer and Steam

What do you mean by supported?
We certify that the applications listed as supported will install and function in a reasonable manner under Wine with the help of Bordeaux for the duration of your support period. Once your support period is up you are free to keep using Bordeaux for as long as you want however if technical issues arise for any reason you will have to purchase a support renewal.

What do you mean by "reasonable manner"?

We mean that the application should install and function mostly as it does under Windows. There might be minor technical glitches or reduced functionality however most users should not be impacted by any missing core features. For example, if you purchase Bordeaux to run Microsoft Office 2000 and have trouble viewing a document with text in a certain languages such as Farsi, the lack of this functionality would not be viewed as not functioning in a reasonable manner. This issue would be treated as a bug beyond the limited support we offer. We will still try to help with any issue you have during your support period however our ability to address minor impacts to functionality such as this might be limited due to time or resources.

Conversely if major functionality such as Printing were missing this would be viewed not functioning in a reasonable manner and we would do everything in our power to resolve this issue as soon as possible. If you we're to have a major functionality issue such as this, it would take priority in our issue tracking and development system to insure that you receive a fix during your support period.

What if I don't like your product or you are not able to fix my issue?
Can I get a refund?
You have 15 days from the date of purchase to evaluate the software and decide if it fits your needs. If you have any technical issue during that time, please file a trouble ticket and we will see what we can do to help.

How long do I have support for?
Our basic support package is for 6 months. If you would like to purchase support for a longer period, please contact our sales team.
